In South Dakota, every year
the money families pay in food tax
could buy all their food for 3 weeks.

1. People are really struggling for food. Some even wait in food lines. Yet South Dakota is one of the few states continuing to tax groceries.

2. "No other tax so directly takes food off people's tables."

3. South Dakota could end this unfair tax, as most other states have done. We could phase it out, or end the state portion all at once.
